October 30, 2005 - Serial Thriller ended its run at Six Flags Astroworld when the park closed its gates forever. It had some advantages over the B&M B:TRs because it had a better sense of speed. Went to Houston as a child and loved this, then back when Mark and I were married. Though Serial Thriller doesnt really fit in with the Nottingham Village theme of the area, I still really enjoyed the ride itself. This is the only coaster Ive been on with a MAX height requirement (somewhere around 68" - 69" Thrilling, yes - but its also a bit painful, somewhat short (1:35), and usually has a long line since its relatively new and has a high "visual wow factor". Was a great Theme Park! I really love the diving hill after the double loop. Like Batman the Escape, its a "ladies remove your earrings" ride, so at least theyre advertising the fact that its a headbanger.

Great fun with great visual appeal. Not a good inverted coaster. Who cares if its a bit bumpy! this is one of the worst SLC models. it is WAAAY to shaky.
