Fulci is the best of the best for Italian horror imo.And Tenebre is pretty good too. I always think of sound of music near the end for some reason... You all know Profondo rosso, so no need to tell why it is in my list. The camera work in this film is stunning, the music is awesome, and the murder scenes are quite brutal yet artfully done.

Arguably there are many I enjoy more but looking back it probably was groundbreaking as you can see movies after it developed genre but tbh this one has every element more or less done in a new way or method in next Giallo movies. This is definitely something of a learning experience for me, sort of getting more into the subgenre as of late. This film is to gialli what Halloween is to slashers - not the first of its kind but the film that cemented the style and opened the floodgates.
Giallo movies have best rewatchability Usually after few months or so I don't remember what plot was about or who the killer was so I could watch them again and feel almost like it's first time.
Black Sunday though... come on? More of a psychological horror kind of thing, but I loved it. This isn't a Giallo film, but if you enjoy Giallo films you might be interested in Berberian Sound Studio. I love it more on each viewing.
I agree, I love Blood and Black Lace. The score is one of Morricone's best, Eva Renzi was stunning, and Argento's cleverness is out in full force. On the top of it, the plot is good, solid, quite credible; acting is also great.That's awesome that you have such a personal experience with giallo.

Soundtrack is too much for me, bit too 80's (not unlike tenebrea to be fair) it's a decent movie though with a good setup. Bava is the God of Italian horror.I really liked Torso, great story, fun characters and some very slasher-y scenes (a lot of giallos lean more on mystery than slashing).
