Many weekends find the park hosting some kind of festival - from Christmas on the River to the 4th of July.

My nephew's birthday party was held here on a cool day in July. Love this park! The views are pretty any time of the year. English Landing Park is open daily from 5:30 a.m. until midnight.English Landing Park has a variety of rental options for special events and family gatherings. Plenty of trees for shade, and walking paths (paved). They have a farmers market every Saturday morning as well.English Landing Park is situated in the downtown area of Parkville along the river.
The park is sure to satisfy anyone wanting to take advantage of the great outdoors. This is my "Go To" park for the lovely scenery, the paved trails for walking or bicycling, an outdoor picnic or just about any other activity. I like that the paths are flat.
On May 4, 2003, English Landing Park narrowly missed an EF1 tornado that came across the river and cut damage paralleling the railroad tracks before crossing 9 Highway. There is a local farmers … The kids had a well appointed playground to burn off all that buttercream icing too. I wish some of the gravel area was paved, but honestly the scenery is so lovely that I forget all the dust I'm kicking up.
Spring brings the beautiful flowers and people back outside, summer finds families barbequing and kids playing, fall is a visual treasure with the colors turning, and winter shows it's a great place to stomp around in the snow. For these reasons, English Landing Park gets a near perfect 10 for me! Anything above 28 feet is considered moderate flooding. I do wish they'd spruce up their restroom.
It has baseball diamonds and basketball courts.
Go around sunset if you can for some incredible views.
English Landing Park in Parkville is a community park that provides a wonderful variety of sports and activity options in the beautiful outdoors on the western bank of the great Missouri River. Great place to get in walk or run.
This little gem of a park has just about everything you could possibly want/need. I can't think of a more enjoyable spot to sit and look at the river on a warm day.
The park also has nice picnic areas, places to fish, a playground for the kids and a doggie park. There's space for families and a playground for the little ones, room to throw down a blanket for a picnic or to stargaze (some light pollution but nice enough) and a great path for jogging along the river.
English landing is not only a great park for walking, several miles of walking trails, but also a great place for get togethers.
Something for everyone. Keep in mind, I'm born and raised Parkville - so I'm a bit biased. (They even provide free doggie poop bags! Parking is easy and plentiful and there's lots to do nearby too. Each side of the walking trail is about 2 1/2 miles. Jordan said he had to wade through knee-deep water to get his police car out from the parking lot at English Landing Park. It's perfect for a nice relaxing run with great scenery, lots of park activity, and lit trail. During the spring and summer season, there's also the Farmer's Market, right as you first enter English Landing. Either to walk the trails for a work out or sit and enjoy the river and activities that are always going on this is such an amazing place to come .I love this park! A "major flooding" event occurs at around 48 feet. English Landing Park is located along the Missouri river in Parkville, Missouri, United States.The area the park now sits were once just low water areas of the Missouri River.It includes a 3-mile jogging/biking trail that follows the river's edge, several shelters for picnics, a soccer field, a baseball diamond, volleyball courts, 2 playgrounds (one for small kids and one for bigger kids). You'll see hammocks along the river and benches with people reading while watching people run, bike or walk by.

There are train tracks to cross and you have to put up with the occasional mind altering blows of the train whistle as it passes, but if you are a small child or toddler, this would actually be a double bonus for you! In the summer months the path that doesn't follow along the river tends to be very buggy so I avoid that side. It's small but you can find some good local produce for good prices. I found myself here, at English Landing Park, last Sunday for a sunset walk with a friend and her very large, very friendly dog.Very nice park along the river. As of noon on March 18, the Missouri river is predicted to crest at 32.4’ on Friday, March 22nd at the river gauge northwest of downtown Parkville under I-435. Play area for toddlers, soccer area, frisbee golf, trails for biking and running. you get some beautiful views while on a walk.
