Fermanagh GAA player Brian Og Maguire has died following an industrial accident at the former Quinn Group premises in the county, the football organisation said. He played in the half-forward line in the Ulster SFC quarter-final defeat by Down at Brewster Park in June this year.A Fermanagh GAA statement said the county committee, senior football management and players were: “Shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of our county senior player and teammate Brian Og Maguire due to an accident at his work.“We extend our sympathy to Brian Og’s parents Brian and Eileen, sisters Roisin and Eimear, his entire family circule and the members of his club Lisnaskea Emmetts at this most difficult time.“Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this sad time.”A spokesman for Fermanagh GAA said the man died at one of the factories which was in the Quinn Group.He captained his club, Lisnaskea Emmetts, to victory in the All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship in 2011.Club chairman Collie McCaffrey paid tribute to Mr Maguire as a superstar and the heartbeat of his local community.“To be at the pinnacle of your life and then to have your life cut short is devastating,” he said.“The GAA is like a big family and we’ll be getting together tonight with his family and making sure we help them in any way we can over the coming days.”DUP MLA Arlene Foster also expressed her condolences.She said: “My sympathies go out to the family of Mr Maguire who has died in an accident today.
