You can walk everywhere within its historic old town, exploring on foot. HahahI love Tübingen! As Europe's largest economy and most populous nation, Germany remains a key member of the continent's economic, political, and defense organizations. Live Like a German helps me out by giving me reasons to visit Tübingen. Which actually come to think of it might be perfectly appropriate, since visiting Tübingen felt like being thrown back to my childhood – waaaay back, to when I lived there as a baby. Is there a place there to shop for one?I will be studying in Tübingen to study abroad and I am really looking forward to it! While I was growing up, we often took summer road trips to Tübingen from Norway to visit their friends there, and when we weren’t in Tübingen or traveling to Tübingen I think my parents spent most of their time daydreaming about Tübingen.Which I mean, I can’t really blame them for, since Tübingen looks like this:And since I’m sure you’re dying to know, my first AIM screen name was TigerLilly88.Wait, that’s safe information to share with the Internet, right?
We love traveling the world and taking photos wherever we go. The ornately painted 15th-century City Hall is topped with a functioning astronomical
Thanks for sharing. The colors of those photos are amazing! blog written by Peter.Freisberg Tübingen is a youthful, mostly liberal town that focuses on artistic endeavors. Thank you for sharing!Once a full-time nomad, I'm now trying to find a balance between continuing to explore off the beaten path places around the world while also building a home in Norway.
The facade was painted in 1877 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the university.Take a break here from walking or stop for a cup of coffee.
Where do you want to go? That blows my mind! And man, I remember those AIM screen name days all too well, haha! That is something I love about living in Europe now – so many countries at my fingertips!Ughhh why is every single town in Germany SO pretty?! blog written by Flo more less . I think I’ve just added another place to my wishlist of places. Die Reise hat begonnen. The Platanenallee is an avenue of 200 year old planar trees. Admire Neptune’s Fountain, created by Heinrich Schickhard in the 17th century. Go Play. One of my personal highlights is the Hohenzollern Castle, a mere 45-minute car ride away from Tübingen. Though on my flight home I did realize that, even though I tried really hard not to let German get back in my head and mess with my Norwegian (they’re annoyingly similar languages and so easy to mix up), my German is still actually much better than my Norwegian, even though I only lived there for a year when I was 17.I mean, that shouldn’t really make me sad, except that it only confirms this growing suspicion I’ve been having that when I was younger I was just so much smarter and more talented and prettier and funnier and basically it’s all downhill from here. Now pardon me while I go drown my Millennial angst in a big bowl of Oh but first, here’s a video my mom and I made of our walk through Tübingen, just in case you thought all this pretty was just photoshop:This trip I stayed with my parents, but I returned to Subscribe to my newsletter for exclusive updates and stories from my world travels and life in Norway!Awesome pictures! We got a small pumpkin – from a vending machine! And while Germany does have a long list of beautiful old towns and cities, I think Tübingen takes the top spot. It’s a large, public park, where you can sit and admire the flora or simply meander about. blog written by Peter.Freisberg
