Slowing down a loop using tap tempo is a particularly nice feature and it works seamlessly for practice scenarios, although trusting a guitarist with tempo changes is hardly a foolproof move, as any drummer will certainly attest. The Ditto will reboot automatically once the update is complete. It is very easy to use in all sorts of situations.

I've got a Amazon Gift card for $50 from Xmas so I've been looking.. As such, I ended up going with the Ditto. I a/b'd the pass-through signal with my Ditto and heard absolutely zero difference. Some examples of stereo loopers are the TC Electronic Ditto Stereo and the TC Electronic Ditto X2. For me, I was more interested in basic looping for backing tracks on the fly. Both Ditto's have superior sound fidelity. goes fast. I saw noticible tone suck in the RC-3.
If someone was considering purchasing this pedal, I would not put any emphasis on the fact that you can import/export loops to a computer because, while rather simple when all hooked up, it is clunky at best and not something that one is going to do live; period.
